Originally from Costa Rica, I arrived in the USA 23 years ago and in Charlotte, NC, in 2006. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving our community, which every day gives its best to move forward.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Studies focusing on Socio-Economic Development and a Minor in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).
With over 10 years of experience in non-profit organizations, I began as a volunteer at a low-cost health center, working as a medical and mental health interpreter. Simultaneously, I worked for 8 years as a bilingual instructor with the American Red Cross, where I received the President's Award for being one of the organization's top instructors. In late 2023, I joined the Latin American Coalition, where I continue my commitment to offering my experience to the community. My mission is to provide the information, support, and guidance necessary so everyone visiting us can continue working towards their goals and dreams.
