Charlotte – NC. The Latin American Coalition and The Levine Museum, invites you to commemorate its 19th Day of the Dead Festival this November 4, 2023, at Camp North End, where hundreds of people will celebrate one of the most popular Mexican traditions.
Admission to the festival will be free, as well as parking. The event will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Camp North End (300 Camp Road Charlotte, North Carolina). Join us to honor our loved ones and keep this beautiful tradition alive in our community.
Ancestral Tradition
The Day of the Dead is a very popular indigenous tradition in Mexico, celebrated on the first days of November, where the dead return to visit their families and friends, while being honored with their favorite foods and beverages.
The celebration takes place on November 1st and 2nd and is divided into categories. According to the Catholic calendar, November 1 is All Saints’ Day, so it is dedicated to children, and November 2 is All Souls’ Day, dedicated to adults.
