WC Empowering Futures: Updates from the Economic Mobility and Workforce Center
Dear Supporters,
Exciting developments are already underway at the Economic Mobility and Workforce Center this year! Thanks to several grants, we are making significant strides in various projects that contribute to our mission of empowering individuals in our community.
Our Labor Rights Workshop continues to provide valuable information, ensuring that our community is informed and equipped with essential knowledge. Through collaborative efforts and grants, we’ve established groups to share job opportunities, fostering connections that benefit our community members.
The Digital Accelerator Program is in full swing, offering basic computer literacy classes and Google Certificates. Currently, 45 individuals are actively engaged in training for Project Management and Digital Marketing, progressing towards valuable certifications. Additionally, our computer basics class celebrated the graduation of the first 25 individuals and is set to start a new cohort of 25 individuals.
Recognizing the importance of digital inclusion, all our workshops provide information and assistance on accessing broadband for low-income individuals, ensuring everyone has equal opportunities.
We are committed to ongoing support, and our weekly resume-building workshops continue to empower individuals in crafting compelling resumes. Simultaneously, our Community ID workshops play a vital role in ensuring everyone has access to essential identification.
Lastly, we are dedicated to creating Career Pathway opportunities through upskilling certificates and training, fostering growth and advancement for all.
These achievements are made possible through your continued support, and we are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in our community. Stay tuned for more updates as we work towards building brighter futures together.
Warm regards,
Economic Mobility and Workforce Center
